Rick Scott about to get blasted by Cheney group
05/26/2010
UPDATE: See Ad on next page.
Bill McCollum's folks have been hinting that even though they don't have the money for an all-out war against Rick Scott there would be "other sources" that would pick up the gauntlet.
Apparently that help is coming from a group - Alliance for America's Future - that is backed by Mary Cheney, daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney. She formed the group with Ohio political operative Barry Bennett.
Adam Smith is reporting on The Buzz that Alliance for America's Future has bought TV time and the ads blasting Scott will start airing tomorrow.
The Alliance has run into some problems in Nevada where the state is saying its TV ads there violate the state's disclosure law. The Alliance disagrees.
Looks like the GOP primary for governor is going to get very ugly.
Here's the ad. The quality is a bit murky.
People can offer opinions all day long, but at the end of the day the American people are tired of career politicians. Folks are longing for elected officials who have the ability to create true economic opportunity.
Rick Scott and other like candidates will probably do extremely well this election year.
